Gonpachi Shibuya ~ 権八 渋谷

The one in Nishiazabu was where ex-Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi entertained President George W Bush & is also where one of the scenes for the ‘Kill Bill’ movie was shot.
We visited the one in Shibuya during lunch. This spacious restaurant is located on the 14th floor & offers a nice view. In fact, on your way up in the elevator you can view the Tokyo Tower & the Tokyo Skytree simultaneously. There is a popular sushi restaurant adjacent to the izzakaya. Gonpachi offers an elevated Izzakaya experience. The price is reasonable for the amount & quality of food served. They have set menus on weekdays for lunch, ranging from ¥800 ~ ¥1500. Weekend lunches have two courses priced at ¥2000 & ¥3000 & this includes making as many trips as you like, to a salad bar & non-alcoholic drink bar. To top it off, provisions are made for you to take a drink on your way out !
The food is good, the service is efficient & since the restaurant is spacious, the atmosphere is relaxing. An absolute bang for your buck !

Their website below will give you an idea of what to expect.
